Why voice
Text hides tone.
Voice can’t.
A compliment in someone’s real voice hits different. A confession whispered at 2am says more than any emoji. Ekko keeps the who a secret — never the how.

Safety
Anonymous isn’t a free pass.
Senders are anonymous to you — not to Ekko. We keep sender details securely for a limited time so we can act on abuse reports, ban repeat offenders from Ekko, and respond to lawful requests. Every safety feature is free, forever.
Checked before delivery
Every text and voice note is screened before it reaches you. Voice is checked on the original recording, before any effect is added.
Strong-language filter
On by default. Add your own blocked words on top, and anything matching is held back.
Block that sticks
Block a sender from any message and that device stops reaching you. If someone works around it, report them — repeat offenders get banned from Ekko entirely.
Report in one tap
Report any message in a tap. Every report is reviewed by a person on our team, and we act on what we find — up to banning the sender from Ekko.
Private by default
There's no public feed. Nothing you receive is seen by anyone else unless you choose to share it.

Messages encouraging self-harm are blocked, and we'll point you to support where you live.
